Captain’s Paddock is a beautiful vineyard, nestled amongst the Booie ranges just outside of Kingaroy, Queensland. It produces some distinctive wines from its rich volcanic soil. The property is named after a horse called ‘Captain Jack’ who roamed the vineyard until he passed away at the grand old age of 38.

These days, it’s Merlot (Queensland’s first official Wine Dog) and companion Zell who happily wander among the vines, greet tasting room visitors and never stroll too far away from the wonderful aromas drifting from the tasting room café.
